Private Guided Safaris

Reconnecting you with
the natural world

On safari, the quality of your guide is the most important factor. On a private guided safari, you’ll get closer to nature than you ever dreamed possible. Our private guides will help you read the signs of the wild. You’ll learn to read signs in the blood-red earth, you’ll feel the ground shake to the rumble of elephants, you’ll breathe the same air as the mighty cats, and know the wild like never before.

Graham Cooke leads our private guided safaris. Graham is undoubtedly a legend of the safari world. He is a highly distinguished and internationally renowned private guide whose story of hand-rearing two leopard cubs and releasing them into the wild is told in the now-popular book – “My Life with Leopards”.

We have over 75 years of combined experience leading safaris and would not recommend doing a safari without a guide. The bush is a beautiful place but without experience and the correct equipment, it may not be an enjoyable experience. When you safari with Wild Insight Safaris you will be safely guided to the best areas to see African wildlife. We arrange every aspect of your trip, keeping you safe along the way.

The cost of a family safari can vary depending on where you go, how long for, the number of people on the safari and the type of accommodation you choose. At Wild Insight Safaris we create safari experiences to suit your budget and can offer a variety of safari styles including adventure safaris with camping, luxury and private lodges and safaris that are 100% tailored to your specific needs.

When to safari in Africa depends what wildlife you’d like to see. On paper the best time to safari is between June and October – this is the dry season in Africa. Between March and May the weather is warm for good game viewing and between December and February is a great time for bird-watching. Contact us for an informal chat about the wildlife you’d like to see and the best time to view it.
