Which African country is best for safaris?
Our safaris operate in seven countries in Africa – every country and region offering something special. We have over 75 years of combined experience leading safaris in Africa so if you’re not sure which country or region you’d like to visit on safari, contact us to discuss the wildlife, culture and experiences you’d like to have – we’ll organise the rest.
How much does an African safari trip cost?
We only operate safaris with small, private groups to ensure a unique and grounding safari experience without the high price tag. When you safari with us, your touring group will be the only group we guide. This quality time with your private guides will unlock the secrets of the wild. We’re the perfect choice for adventurous spirits, conservationists, wildlife enthusiasts, families and couples looking for the trip of a lifetime.

Is 7 days long enough for a safari?
It sure is! We’ve written a short blog on what 7 days on safari looks like – head this way to see how the week takes shape.
How do I plan a safari?
Together we can plan your dream safari. Contact us to discuss the wildlife, culture and experiences you’d like to have and when you’d like to travel. Equally, if you’d like to go on a safari but don’t know where to start, we can advise on everything from the best time of year to travel to the countries to visit and where to stay.
Is Africa safe to visit?
We operate safaris in southern and eastern Africa where it is considered safe to travel. Southern and Eastern Africa are where the majority of tourism occurs in Africa. The countries in this region are well equipped to deal with tourism and we advise taking the same precautions you would when travelling anywhere in the world. We’re always happy to impart local advice in every country we visit to keep you safe when out and about.
What vaccinations do I need for Africa?
There is some pre-travel vaccination planning required to ensure a smooth, safe trip to Africa. It’s worth considering your medical requirements in good time of your trip – so you’ve come to the right place! We always advise guests to check out the NHS Vaccination website if travelling from the UK. Here you’ll find all the information required on what vaccinations you need and when you need them.
Where is the best place for a family safari?
Africa is an incredible continent to visit. The wildlife, culture and landscapes make it undeniably one of the best places on earth. From the roar of a lion to the silence of the Mafinga Hills to the beauty of the Blyde River Canyon.
We are able to visit seven African countries on safari so it’s hard to choose the best one for families. South Africa and Botswana would sit high on the list due to their diverse offering and the additional family activities available as well as the beautiful private lodges we have access to.
On a family safari with the Wild Insights team, you’ll learn how to read signs of wildlife in the blood-red earth, you’ll feel the ground shake to the rumble of elephants, you’ll breathe the same air as the mighty cats, and understand the wild like never before.
We have over 75 years of combined experience leading safaris in Africa and are proud to be regarded as one of the best African safari companies. We only operate private group safaris so your family will have private guides for the entire trip.
Do I need a private guide on safari?
We have over 75 years of combined experience leading safaris and would not recommend doing a safari without a guide. The bush is a beautiful place but without experience and the correct equipment, it may not be an enjoyable experience. When you safari with Wild Insight Safaris you will be safely guided to the best areas to see African wildlife. We arrange every aspect of your trip, keeping you safe along the way.
