Zimbabwe Safaris

Known for dramatic landscapes and diverse wildlife, Zimbabwe is also the home to Victoria Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the world. Water flows through the veins of Zimbabwe and on safari with us the Mana Pools and Lake Kariba are also a must visit. Experience thriving with wildlife and stunning safari camps, our private guides will take you on a journey of discovery creating memories that will last a lifetime in this incredible land.

Home to natural wonders of the world

The camps and lodges we visit while on safari in Zimbabwe have been handpicked to provide spiritual and luxury elegance. During the day you’ll head out into the wild to reconnect with nature led by experienced private safari guides Graham Cooke and Steve Mortimer who have over 75 combined years of experience tracking and looking for animals.

On safari with us in Zimbabwe you’ll immerse yourself in nature with our unparalleled level of insight and understanding of the animals we share this planet with.

Below you’ll discover more about the places we visit in Zimbabwe on Safari:

Mana Pools

In the northern tip of Zimbabwe a unique collection of islands, channels, sandbanks and oxbow lakes form the Mana Pools. A UNESCO Heritage Site, the special Mana Pools spread over 2,500 km of undisturbed nature. Here you’ll find over 450 bird species and 100 African mammals not to mention the highest concentration of hippos and crocodiles in Zimbabwe. Guests can enjoy bush walks, bird watching, fishing, game drives and canoeing in Mana Pools National Park.

Lake Kariba

Lying over 1,000 km upstream from the mouth of the Zambezi River is the vast Lake Kariba. Lake Kariba is special because it is the world’s largest man-made dam. It provides a significant amount of electrical power to Zambia and Zimbabwe as well as being a popular fishing spot. Home to crocodiles and hippos it’s far from a safe space to cooldown after a day on safari but we strongly recommend a boat trip and safari along the shorelines. Watching the sun set over Lake Kariba is also one of our favourite things to do with guests while on safari in this region of Zimbabwe.

Africa Safari

Victoria Falls

Zimbabwe is home to the incredible Victoria Falls. The sounds, sights and smells of the Zambezi River will hit you as you watch the water launch over the cliff and make its way down through a series of stunning gorges. There are several activities on the river that make a family-safari trip more memorable such as white-water rafting, abseiling the gorge or a river cruise.

Gorongosa

Mozambique’s Gorongosa National Park is easily accessible from Zimbabwe and we often make our way across the border to experience its incredible biodiversity and range of animal and plant species who call it home. Here you’ll see elephants hydrating and bathing in waterholes, lions basking in the sunshine and an abundance of waterbuck buffalo and sable.

Safari Accommodation

We offer various accommodation options for safari guests, and all options can be blended. No matter which route or routes you take, you’ll be sure to feel at home with African nature. We specialise in private group trips to provide a personal, private and undisturbed experience. From Bush Camps and 4 x 4 trips to private or shared luxury lodges.
